Art on Paper: The Body of Form explores the inner world of the individual through form, space, and material. By transforming paper into sculptural forms inspired by architectural structures, Iryna develops a visual language for exploring human potential - not as something fixed, but as something that gradually unfolds through attention, engagement, and transformation. These ephemeral sculptures are photographed as final works, existing between sculpture and photography.
The project develops through an intuitive dialogue with the material rather than a predetermined plan. Working directly with paper, she allows its structure, stability, weight, and memory of previous gestures to guide the process. Each work retains traces of movement and transformation, revealing moments where material and thought converge.
By photographing these sculptural forms, she blurs the boundaries between object and image, the physical and the symbolic. Although the final works are two-dimensional photographs, they preserve the visual presence and conceptual weight of sculpture.
Beyond the material itself, the series reflects on potential - the kind that reveals itself gradually. As with people, it unfolds through attention, focus, and engagement. What initially appears hidden slowly takes shape, both within the material and within ourselves.
